Mindi Kavanaugh, O.D.
Dr. Kavanaugh is a therapeutic optometrist and owner of Greene Eyes, P.A. She received her undergraduate degree from Texas A&M University in 1994 with a major in Biology and a minor in Chemistry where she was a member of Beta Beta Beta Biological Honor Society. She received her Doctorate of Optometry in 1999 from the University of Houston.
During school, “Dr. Mindi” completed an externship at Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi, MS, and another at Houston Eye Associates with an emphasis on pediatric ophthalmology. Her practice emphasis is on pediatrics, specializing in amblyopia, strabismus, visual-perceptual deficiencies, vision therapy, and pediatric contact lens fittings. Dr. Kavanaugh also treats adult patients and enjoys fitting a wide range of contact lenses, including multifocal/bifocals, toric lenses for astigmatism, rigid gas permeables, and colored contacts. Her therapeutic license also enables her to treat and diagnose a variety of eye diseases and disorders from dry eye syndrome and allergic conjunctivitis to corneal ulcers and foreign bodies.
Dr. Kavanaugh is an active member of the Brazos Valley Optometric society, the Texas Optometric Association, and the American Optometric Association. She is licensed by the Texas Board of Optometry.
Today Dr. Mindi Kavanaugh’s practice is a dream come true for her, as she decided to become an optometrist in pediatrics at the tender age of 7. She lives in College Station with her six children and attends Grace Bible Church. drmindi@greeneeyesbcs.com
